1. Blinds - Mandatory bets (small blind and big blind) that start the betting. The blinds ensure there’s always money in the pot.
2. Button - A disk that indicates the dealer position; it moves clockwise after each hand.
3. Hole Cards - The two private cards each player receives at the beginning of the hand.
4. Flop - The first three community cards dealt face-up in the center of the table.
5. Turn - The fourth community card dealt after the flop.
6. River - The fifth and final community card dealt after the turn.
7. Check - A betting option where a player can pass the action to the next player without betting.
8. Bet - To put chips into the pot based on the strength of one's hand.
9. Raise - To increase the size of the existing bet in the same betting round.
10. Fold - To discard one’s hand and forfeit interest in the current pot.
11. Call - To match the highest bet made in a betting round.
12. All-In - A bet that puts all of a player’s chips into the pot.
13. Showdown - The final stage where players reveal their hands to determine the winner.
14. Pot - The total amount of money (chips) bet by players in a hand.
15. Pot Odds - The ratio of the current size of the pot to the cost of a contemplated call.
